Fashion industry has been rapidly increasing, along with promotion through advertisement and many other ways. Those advertisement usually presented in a picture or photo and its a new chance for photographer. Unlike other objects, such as landscape photography, capturing moving object like human got its own difficulties which makes it more challenging.
Certain knowledge, combine with experience, and talent are things you should have to break those challenge. Learning from basic will give you bigger perspective, basic knowledge combine with artistic and fresh ideas would make a big different. You love your point & shoot digital camera but now you yearn for something more. A camera that offers more versatility and interchangeable lenses. A camera that lets you get closer to wildlife than the zoom on your small digital.
Perhaps you want to shoot birds — with a camera, not a gun.
Be forewarned, if you want to get into photographing wildlife, especially birds, you must have have a LONG lens. The very minimum focal length would be a 300mm with a 1.4x tele converter. I have used that with some success in photographing birds.
When I was first starting out as a photographer I was on a nice drive with the ex and children. I really wanted to photograph the great blue herons we saw in the fields outside Davis, Calif. But every time we got even a little close to the birds they would hop/fly off just out of range of my wimpy 200mm lens. Read more »
Important: Keep a Diary

One thing that I have learned along the way is to keep a diary of all events and job possibilities when running a photography business. Double booking is a no-no especially when it comes to wedding photography.
If you are just starting out it is all too easy to simply try and remember what bookings you have, even if it is just 2 or 3. This is when problems could arise.
Unless you have your bookings and even enquiries written down, you could fall victim to a double booking and this could harm your reputation and ultimately your business. Read more »
